Waterville Valley Resort is currently seeking day and night shift custodians for the winter season. Duties include, but are not limited to; help clean and tidy common spaces, bathrooms, buildings, hallways and work spaces; emptying trash; vacuuming; washing stairs and floors. CUSTODIAN
Performs custodial maintenance duties, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, cleaning and restocking restrooms. Performs general, routine custodial duties, to include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies. Performs routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies. Empties trash receptacles, disposes trash into dumpsters, and bags trash for proper disposal. * Unlocks doors, ensuring doors are locked after cleaning areas. * Reports needs and concerns to appropriate staff. * Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. * Assists in on-the-job training of new staff on routine procedures. * Performs cleaning functions specific to the assigned facilities and/or based on requirements. * May provide vendors with access to areas for cleaning and may answer basic questions. May report issues with vendors to supervisor. * May assist or perform snow removal activities and minor maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs, adjusting furniture, or other similar activities. MAJOR FUNCTION & SCOPE:
To assist guests in a professional, polite, respectful and helpful manner. This assistance includes (but not limited to) cleaning the main product, the guest rooms. The job also includes providing privacy for the guests, providing resort information, providing a safe environment for yourself, the guests and your fellow employee’s and providing hospitality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Perform all aspects of room cleans and laundry operations.
2. Cleaning hallways, stairwells and other common areas in lodging properties.
3. Keeping track of supplies and equipment needed to perform the job.
4. Provide, to one’s best ability, a secure environment for guest’s personal property/ in the rooms and service areas, as well as Lost and Found.
5. Provide guests with resort information.
6. Communicate pertinent housekeeping information to the front desk and maintenance departments.

8. Perform light maintenance as needed or requested.

Requirements include but are not limited to: booking reservations for numerous lodging properties in and around Waterville Valley and supplying accurate information to callers about Waterville Valley lodging, activities, and amenities, capturing all incoming resort calls, receiving all lodging reservation calls and upsell other Resort products, sell all Resort and partner products/services, help maintain guest database and data marketing, and support group sales fulfillment and sales efforts.
