Tuesday

Tuesday morning we’ll roam around on the North End and touch up a few trails that saw skier traffic on Monday. Conditions on the North End continue to be great. We’ve also been able to open Beanbender, Swazeytown, and Lower Snows. Lower Snows is currently only open from Upper Snows to Swazeytown, but we’ll try to connect it down to the valley floor tomorrow. Use caution on these newly opened trails as they may have soft spots and some bumpy sections.

Wednesday afternoon we’ll be hosting a high school and middle school race on the South End. So if you want to come out and cheer them on, the start and finish will be in the Teaching Area. 2:45 Girls start — 3:15 Boys start — 3:45 Middle school start

With all the excitement of getting the season rolling, I forgot to mention the addition of a warming hut on Lower Osceola. Warming hut is a little deceiving since we are not actually heating it, but it’s in a nice sunny spot to get out of the wind and take advantage of some solar gain through the large windows. You can find it at Jnct 33 where Moose Run and John Deere connect to Lower Osceola. Please remember to pack out all your trash!

Cheers,
Ian
