Conditions for Wednesday 2/22/23

The North End will be groomed Tuesday evening to help give the fresh snow anticipated overnight something to bind to. On Wednesday morning we’ll come to the South End and clean up a few trails as well. You can expect a little fresh snow on top of most trails but it should be that perfect amount that makes skating and classic magical without impeding forward progress. It’s hard not to look ahead to Thursday’s storm, but it’s important to practice patience and not scare it off….

In case you missed it yesterday, a local skier, Dr. Suzanne Young, is researching hydration practices of XC skiers in New England. She is a Professor at New England College and her research area is hydration in endurance athletes, specifically marathon runners. There has been little research done in XC skiers to date, but by completing her survey you can help change that. Thanks for your help!

Cheers,

Ian
