THE END… FOR NOW?

Well folks, things are not looking great out there. It’s unfortunately time to close the trails after another day of wet and warm weather. The bottom of Lower Osceola was soggy wet ice around 4pm on Saturday with more rain expected overnight. We’ll definitely continue to monitor the forecast and evaluate reopening should a surprise storm come our way. There’s definitely still enough time and base left for a turnaround should the weather allow. I’m sure a few hardy souls will continue to find some enjoyment out there, especially on shadier trails at higher elevation.

Despite having to call it quits earlier than we wanted, it was a surprisingly good year of skiing. The snow total was not as high as we wanted, but we had good long stretches of cold at just the right times and some decent storms. My crew once again outdid themselves, resurrecting the trails from multiple melt outs. Thanks to all of you as well, your smiles and enthusiasm keep us motivated all winter.

If you’re looking for a way to fill that ski sized hole in your heart, stop by the shop for a little retail therapy! We’re offering 35% off on men’s and women’s tops/jackets and 30% off on ski packages. After doing some rental fleet evaluation we also have a few pairs of used classic skis and boots to part with. Mostly smaller adult and children’s sizing. Shop hours will continue to be 8:30am-4pm for the time being.

Ta-ta for now,

Ian
