The Waiting Game
The next 24-hours could potentially bring us up to 4” of snow. That might be just enough to get us back out on the trails, most likely just using a snowmobile grooming implement to smooth and pack the trail surface. Anything less than that will likely not be enough to safely groom, and could be a bit treacherous as it will hide thin spots. So keep your fingers crossed, do your special dance, and pray to whatever god will listen.
January 5-9 the Army National Guard will be utilizing the Osceola Vista Campground, or Bob’s Lookout as we call it, for a training exercise. They will be traveling on snowshoes and skis. This should be fairly low impact, especially since we aren’t really skiing right now! You may also see some of their vehicles parked on the snow at Livermore.
May the snow be with you,
Ian
