ABOUT
CANCELED - SEE YOU NEXT YEAR
You thought we were crazy for $26 lift tickets during World Cup? Well check this out - celebrate this St. Patrick’s Day with a full mountain lift ticket for just $17!
HOW? You must dress as a leprechaun. No costume, no deal. We’re not handing out pots of gold to just anyone. See below for details.
EVENT DETAILS
DATE: Tuesday, March 17th, 2026
TIME: 9:00am - 4:00pm
LOCATION: Waterville Valley Ski Resort - Tickets must be purchased in person at the Base Lodge on March 17th!
To unlock your $17 lift ticket, you must meet ALL THREE of these extremely serious, non-negotiable leprechaun requirements:
✅ Wear something green (no, a tiny shamrock sticker does not count. You need loud, undeniable, unmistakable GREEN—shirt, jacket, pants, a full-body suit, whatever.)
✅ Add a leprechaun-y touch (a jaunty top hat, a fake fiery beard, gold coins spilling dramatically from your pockets, shoes that suggest you might make a side hustle crafting wooden clogs in the forest... get into character!)
✅ Bring a hint of mischief (speak exclusively in riddles, do a jig in your ski boots, give cryptic directions to non-existent treasure, or simply give a knowing wink that suggests you’re up to something)
✅ No half-hearted attempts. No “but my gloves have a green stripe.” No “I’m wearing green underwear, I swear.” All three elements must be met. No exceptions.
Ski all day, then revel in après chaos. Guinness in hand, spinning tales of your mountain mischief, and making questionable decisions you’ll laugh about later.
One day only—March 17th, 2026. Get weird, get green, and get after it!

WANT TO PARTICIPATE EVEN MORE?
Go Telemark skiing! You can make it a day at the resort or a day in the backcountry — you choose.
Connect with people on social media using the hashtags #WorldTelemarkDay & #SpreadTelemark - this is a great way to share where you are making the best turn on snow with participants worldwide.
Set-up a group meetup at the hill for your local Telemark community to ski together for a few runs and take a group photo.
Rolling solo? No problem. World Telemark Day is still for you. Connect with other Telemark skiers via social media that are celebrating the same thing on the same day.
Use the high resolution WTD logo to make your own digital flyers, merch, etc.
For Telemark skiers from around the world the 1st Saturday in March is a special day, it’s always World Telemark Day (WTD). This international celebration takes place this 2024-25 winter season on Saturday March 1st, 2025 and marks the 11th year since its inception. “There is nothing more exciting for Telemark skiers than to get together and share the turn,” said WTD Founder Josh Madsen. “So I created a de-centralized event for everyone around the world, every year, that both the individual and groups can celebrate at the same time.”
That’s what sets World Telemark Day apart from a normal organized event at a specic location, because it can happen any place you want! Whether you are the only Telemark skier at your local ski area or live in an area where you can meet-up with a group of other like-minded freeheelers WTD is for everyone.
