MOGUL MITES

3 YEARS OLD

Mogul Mites is a youth seasonal program for 3-year-olds. Perfect for beginners or novice skiers who are in need of more basic instruction and are not at the lower intermediate skill level yet. Each session includes a 1-hour morning ski lesson and 1-hour afternoon ski lesson, playtime, lift ticket, lunch, and snacks during breaks. Lunch is provided at noon and, there is a quiet/ nap time after lunch. If kids fall asleep we do not wake them for the lesson.

 KIDS KAMP EXPLORER

AGES 4-6 YEARS OLD

Seasonal Kids Kamp Explorers are for younger beginners, novice or lower intermediate skiers ages 4-6. Perfect for those little adventurers looking to develop a strong foundation of skills, explore the mountain, and have fun with their new skiing pals! Kamps feature age-appropriate groups & activities. Groups are formed based on assessment of skills and solidified during the weekends prior to and during Christmas vacation week.  Lil’ GRIT

AGES 4-5 YEARS OLD

A season-long program for 4–5yr. old skiers with a focus on mountain safety, developing fundamental skills and lots of indoor & outdoor fun!
Kids must be able to ski lower intermediate terrain, like Valley Run, on their own.

This Seasonal Programs includes instruction for several weekends throughout the season, including some days during the Christmas holiday week and February vacation week. We might have different groups based on skill development and intensity level. Kids meet at the Junior Seasonal building by the Lower Meadows chairlift. We reserve the right to combine groups when needed. Parents must fill out program specific forms including a Release of Liability on or before their first day of the program. Parents must supply or take children for lunch. Must meet minimum age for programs by Dec. 1, 2024.

 TRUE GRIT SKIER

AGES 6-12 YEARS OLD

True Grit program is designed for skiers ages 6–12 who are confident on lower-intermediate trails. Groups focus on honing the skills of being an all-mountain, all-condition skier. Drills and exercises compliment ever developing skills, while exploring as much of the mountain as those skills allow, including bumps, glades and an occasional run through our Nastar course. Multiple groups will be formed on the basis of age, ability & intensity.

This Seasonal Programs include instruction for several weekends throughout the season, including some days during the Christmas holiday week and February vacation week.  RACE FOCUS

AGES 9-14 YEARS OLD

A specialized group for skiers aged 9-14 who want to learn the fundamentals of ski racing along with all mountain skiing skills. Ski the glades, bumps, and NASTAR course when conditions allow. This is a high-level group for students who are comfortable skiing in control at speed in any condition. Participants in this group must meet a minimum ability standard. Participation in our True Grit ski program (or equivalent) or another competitive ski program is a prerequisite to enroll in the Race Focus group. Participants must purchase a NASTAR season pass, sign our online NASTAR waiver, sign our lesson waiver, and agree to abide by our Code of Conduct.

AGES 9-14 YEARS OLD

A specialized group for skiers aged 9-14 who want to learn the basics of Freestyle movements and how to safely apply them on park features. This is a high-level group for students who are comfortable with skiing in control at speed in any conditions. Participants in this group must meet a minimum ability standard. Participation in our True Grit ski program (or equivalent) or a competitive program is a prerequisite to enroll in the Free Ride group. Participants must agree to abide by our Code of Conduct.

TEEN PROGRAM

AGES 12-14 YEARS OLD

A Program designed for mature 12-14-year-old that needs a little more supervision/structure than just skiing with friends. This is for participants who can already confidently ski or ride all of Waterville Valley’s terrain. This is a less structured group than our True Grit program or other groups. Participants are together in a social atmosphere with all their time on snow. Activities will be varied and take advantage of all the mountain’s challenges and conditions. Expect to explore every nook and cranny, hit every bump, and find new lines in the glades. This group is a mixed group of all disciplines (i.e. skiers and riders).
