Chair Removed & Haul Rope Grounded
Written 04/11/22
On Monday morning - less than 24 hours after the last chair on White Peaks - our valiant demolition team began removing the chairs from the White Peaks Quad.
The clock tower was moved over to Valley Run, so that skiers and riders can still celebrate the start of each ski day with the ceremonial ringing of the bell. Electrical power to the Summit was also shut down in order to remove and replace old transformers.
Our team then shifted their attention to the haul rope, detensioning and grounding the haul rope. Next on the agenda, we will begin demolition of the lift towers, starting at the top towers and working towards the Base.
