Delivery Day - Sheave Trains, Exterior Skins, & Windows

An MND delivery truck trekked up Route 49, all the way to the Base Area of Waterville Valley Resort! After a long journey from Europe, these parts are now home in Waterville Valley, where they will soon be assembled to form our new 6-pack bubble chairlift. These parts included exterior skins and windows for the bottom terminal, as well as several sheave trains.

• WHAT IS A SHEAVE TRAIN?

  A sheave train is a series of sheave wheels located on the cross-arm of in-line, top & bottom lift terminals. A sheave wheel is a special type of wheel lined with rubber. These wheels support the haul rope. In most cases, there will be more sheaves wheels on the uphill side of the terminal than the downhill side.
