Snow Day!
This storm has and continues to deliver the white and fluffy stuff we’ve all been waiting for. The bottom of Lower Osceola has about 6” at 8a.m. and the snow is deeper the farther up Tripoli Rd you go. It is also still snowing on and off so we may see additional accumulation through the day. Because there was some wet precipitation prior to the start of this storm, we will be waiting to groom until we get some cold temperatures. Right now it looks like Wednesday morning will be the sweet spot. In the meantime, there is lots of fun to be had breaking tracks out there. I already went out and skied in some tracks on Lower Osceola out to Bob’s Lookout. Just remember there might be spots where there’s nothing underneath this new snow so a deep snow plow or aggressive pole plant may find pavement. I would recommend sticking to flatter trails, especially with how sticky this snow is. It’s a good day to remember your Swix F4 Universal Glide Wax!
Once this stuff freezes up a little it should make for some excellent skiing!
Cheers,
Ian
