Flying Concrete

Today was a fantastic day for flying! Bright and early at 8:00 am, crews from Waterville Valley Resort, Fall Line Construction, and MND Group prepared to fly concrete via helicopter to pour the foundations for our new 6-pack bubble lift!

The chopper commenced its voyage from Lot #8&9, flying directly to the Base Area, where concrete trucks were stationed. The helicopter lowered a large metal basket to the ground, into which the ground crews loaded wet concrete. Once the concrete was loaded and ready to go, the chopper took off towards The Chute, delivering concrete to the crews stationed on the mountain, ready to pour concrete foundations. The chopper returned to Base Area and back up again to the mountain several times until the foundations were poured and completed for lift towers #6, #7, & #8.
